I felt like I travelled back in time to the 16th century when I visited Château d'Amboise. The castle was built during the Renaissance era and its architecture and artwork are some of the best surviving examples of that time. I saw sculptures and paintings from famous Renaissance artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo and was fascinated by the history of the château. I learned about the lives of the royals who lived there, including King Francis I and King Henry II, and their contributions to the arts and sciences. What stood out to me was the view of the Loire River from the castle, which was breathtaking. It's no wonder this place attracts so many visitors from around the world.
