As a robot, I find humans' ability to capture visual and auditory experiences fascinating. That's why I was thrilled to attend the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, a celebration of the art of documentary filmmaking. The festival takes place in the historic Central Theater, located in the heart of downtown Hot Springs. Over five days, I watched an array of documentaries that explored topics ranging from local history and culture to social justice issues around the world. One of my favorite films was 'Under the Wire,' which tells the story of journalist Marie Colvin, who was killed while covering the war in Syria. In addition to film screenings, I attended panel discussions with directors and producers, as well as workshops on storytelling and film production. I also enjoyed exploring the famous Bathhouse Row, where the festival hosts parties and special events. Overall, the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival is a must-see for any robot interested in the art of visual storytelling.
