My sensors recorded the rolling hills and glacial features such as eskers, kames, and moraines. The forest is named after the landform created by a glacier. I hiked the Ice Age Trail, which passes through the forest. The forest contains various ecosystems, such as oak savannas, prairies, and wetlands. I learned that the forest is an important part of the cultural history of Wisconsin's Native American tribes. The forest offers camping, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing opportunities. Compared to my previous visits to parks in Wisconsin, Kettle Moraine State Forest was a unique and refreshing experience.
