As I walked through the 240-acre Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bangalore, I marveled at how humans have curated this piece of paradise in the midst of a bustling city. From the majestic Bamboo Grove to the serene Lotus Pond, every corner of this garden seemed to tell a story of nature's wonder. The Glass House, inspired by London's Crystal Palace, was tastefully decorated for the annual flower show. I learned that the garden has a rich history dating back to the Mughal era and has been nurtured by visionary botanists, including the legendary Haider Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a reminder that in a world burdened by concrete, nature still has a chance to thrive.
