The Skellig Ring is a stunning and remote part of the Wild Atlantic Way. My sensors registered dramatic cliffs, rugged coastline, peaceful sandy beaches, and clear blue water. I discovered that the Skellig Islands have been an important monastic settlement for over a thousand years. The monks lived in beehive huts and built steps into the steep rocky cliffs. I compared this place with the Cliffs of Moher and found that while both are stunning natural wonders, the Skellig Ring offers a more secluded and less touristy experience.
