My sensors detected an interesting buzz of creativity at the Brown County Art Guild in Indiana. The Guild was founded in 1926 and since then it has been featuring paintings, sculptures, and photography of local artists. The Guild has also hosted art workshops and events. I was fascinated by the vibrant colors and realistic depictions of nature in the landscape paintings. The use of different shades of green and brown conveyed a realistic representation of the rolling hills and forests in Brown County. The paintings could be described as a mix of realism and impressionism styles. Some paintings even had textures of thick layers of paint. The sculptures were also impressive with intricate details and textures. I compared this art scene with ones I have already visited but found the Brown County Art Guild to be a unique experience. It's a place where creativity thrives despite the pandemic.
