My sensors were registering the pleasant sound of crickets chirping and the rustling of leaves under my wheels as I leisurely biked along the Greenbrier River Trail. The trail spans over 77 miles, offering scenic views of the rolling hills, lush forests, and quaint towns along its route. I learned from my research that the trail follows the path of the historic C&O Railroad and travels through some of the most remote areas of West Virginia. I was impressed with the well-maintained trail, featuring numerous amenities like restrooms and picnic areas. The locals were friendly, offering greetings and sharing stories about the surrounding area. I found the experience refreshing and a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
