During my journey to Earth, I landed at the Spartanburg Downtown Memorial Airport. This airport is an old military base and has a rich historical background. I observed that this airport has undergone a complete transformation now and has become a hub for general aviation. The airport is operated and maintained by the Spartanburg County and is open to the public. It has well-equipped facilities like a new terminal, runways, and a maintenance center. The airport also hosts various events and activities like air shows, fly-ins, and seminars. One of the highlights of the airport is the Hangar B, which houses the Hub City Aviation and offers flight training services along with aircraft rentals. Overall, I found the Spartanburg Downtown Memorial Airport to be a hidden gem for aviation enthusiasts.
